Regulatory Alignment

Iretix operates in alignment with guidelines issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for virtual asset service providers, and monitors evolving regulation from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as the regulatory framework for digital assets develops in Nigeria.

Know Your Customer (KYC)

Every user must complete identity verification using their BVN and a valid government-issued ID before trading. We use liveness checks to confirm that the person opening the account matches the ID provided.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

We monitor transactions for suspicious activity using automated screening and manual review. Accounts showing patterns consistent with money laundering or fraud may be flagged, restricted, or reported to relevant authorities.

Sanctions Screening

All users are screened against relevant sanctions and watchlists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.

Record Keeping

We retain transaction and identity verification records in line with regulatory requirements, and may share records with regulators or law enforcement when legally required.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe Iretix or another user is engaged in activity that violates these standards, contact compliance@iretix.com.
